Frequently asked questions
About finding a pro on Vetta, and about joining as one.
For clients
Is Vetta free for clients?
Yes. Clients never pay Vetta to browse, send requests or chat. You pay your pro for their services, the same way you would without Vetta.
When does Vetta open?
We’re opening in the GTA and Ottawa in January 2027 (estimated), on the web first. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you when Vetta opens near you. Waitlist members get in before the public launch.
Which professionals will be on Vetta?
At launch: therapists (registered psychotherapists, psychologists and social workers), dentists, physiotherapists and registered massage therapists (RMTs). Other professions and cities open one at a time. Join the waitlist and tell us what you need.
How do you check pros?
We look up every pro on their college’s public register before they appear: their name, status, class or title, and any conditions. We record what we saw and the date, and we re-check every year. How verification works
Why are there no star ratings?
Ontario’s health colleges don’t allow testimonials in advertising, so health pros on Vetta have no star ratings or reviews. You see what we checked instead, plus practical details like languages and direct billing.
What’s the difference between a psychotherapist, a psychologist and a social worker?
In Ontario, all three can provide psychotherapy, and each is regulated by its own college. Registered psychotherapists (RP) are regulated by CRPO; RP (Qualifying) is the title for newer psychotherapists, who practise under clinical supervision. Psychologists and psychological associates are regulated by CPBAO, and can also diagnose and do psychological assessments. Registered social workers (RSW) are regulated by OCSWSSW. Benefits plans often cover some of these titles and not others, so check your plan’s list before you choose.
Can I suggest my own pro?
Yes. Nominate your pro and we’ll send them one invitation that names you. We’ll let you know when they’re on Vetta. Nominations are never shown publicly.
What happens to my information?
We use your email and city to tell you when Vetta opens near you, and you can unsubscribe anytime. We don’t sell it, and what you’re looking for never goes to advertisers. The details are in our privacy policy.
For pros
Is there a contract?
No. Everyone is free until billing starts, about April 2027 (estimated). After that, Free stays free, and Pro is month to month, so you can cancel anytime.
Can I pause?
Yes. Pause anytime and you’re hidden from new clients until you come back, and set how many new clients you take each month. If three requests in a row expire without an answer, Vetta pauses you and sends a one-tap email to resume.
What about my college’s advertising rules?
Vetta is built around them. Every pro is verified, health pros have no testimonials, star ratings or reviews, and we check bios for superlatives, promised outcomes and the right title before they go live. You stay responsible for your own advertising under your college’s standards.
I’m an RP (Qualifying). Can I join?
Yes. We confirm your registration on CRPO’s public register, and your profile shows RP (Qualifying), the title CRPO requires for the Qualifying class.
Do you charge per lead or take a cut?
No. There are no per-lead fees, no bidding and no commission on what clients pay you. Pro is a flat $39 a month + tax per practitioner, and Free costs nothing.
How do clients book?
Through your own booking link. Once you accept a request, chat opens and your booking link shows as a button. Vetta doesn’t take bookings or payments.
What does it cost?
Nothing until billing starts, about April 2027 (estimated). Then choose Free, with up to 5 new fits a month, or Pro at $39 a month + tax per practitioner. Founding Pros get 3 more months of Pro free.
When do Founding Pro applications close?
For the GTA and Ottawa, January 25, 2027 at 11:59 pm ET (estimated), the night before Vetta opens there. If the launch moves, the deadline moves with it. Pros verified after the deadline keep Founding status if they applied in time.
